Floodlight Outdoor Motion
Using outdoor floodlight indoors?
Hi.
I was wondering if its possible to use a floodlight like ( http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/browse/3/HouseHome/Lighting/OutdoorSecurityLighting/PRDOVR~0524041P/Motion%2BSensor%2BFloodlight.jsp ) indoors. Not only indoors though, but in an apartment. Im trying to grow some habaneros (dont worry, i dont grow weed 
) and for times when the weather is less than ideal and during winter, it would be nice to be able to use these as a source of light.
Im just not sure if its possible to use it in a normal 120v outlet, or if it even has that kind of plug. Id be able to do some rewiring/soldering if i had to in order to fit it in there, but i just dont know how its even wired (havent lived in a house, so all that is pretty much foreign to me).
This fixture is designed to be hardwired to a source. A better solution is a 4 ' 2 tube fluorescent shop light with some grow bulbs instead of the usual cool white series. The fixture retails about $10 USD and the lamps about the same. Then you just hang the fixture over the plant and turn it on.
