*computer techies* how do I make video 720x576 resolution, PAL format and as an .avi file?
I filmed a short 30 second clip on my digital camera, and I want to send it in to a television competition. The requirements ask that:
If you are sending a video on DVD ROM or CD ROM, it must be in avi format and saved in full resolution (720x576 @ 25 frames per second) for broadcasting purposes. Please ensure your computer editing programme's project settings are PAL (625/50) upper field first and not NTSC (525/60).
How do I do this? I know that at the moment it is 30fps and have managed to resize it so that it is now 720x576 res and .avi BUT how do I burn it so that it is PAL format and remains .avi? What program can I use to burn it this way that I wont have to buy (free download) and how do I use it?
your help would be VERY much appreciated. (and I'm too much of a noob to figure this out)

You can try RZ Video Converter, it can convert any videos to 720x576 25fps avi videos, you can try convert your videos to 720x576 25fps avi(xvid) videos.
